Career background:

I began my design career in northern VA and the DC area. That area was a great place to get started since there are so many design styles used. I was blessed to have several of my designs published and to write for a remodeling magazine in that area.

Educational background:

I have been certified in advanced 20/20 design which allows me to better portray what your kitchen will look like in 3D; this is especially helpful to those clients that have a hard time visualizing what their new space will look like. I am also active in AKBD training through the NKBA.

Design Philosophy:

My approach embraces the idea of designing around each client's lifestyle. I am dedicated to working closely with my clients to perfectly blend functionality and aesthetics. Beautiful kitchens are nice but they have to work right?!

Favorite project/kind of project:

I have always had a passion for historical restoration. My absolute favorite project was a restoration of an 1800's row house in Old Town Alexandria. Keeping in style with the home and designing around the existing brick flooring while adding modern conveniences was a fun design challenge.

Favorite Part of the Job Process:

I love any and all design challenges and having to think outside the box to find the perfect solution. Small spaces like condos are a perfect example of designing without sacrificing amenities.
