DESIGN PROCESS
Kitchen Design
With Kitchen & Bath Galleries, every newly designed or remodeled kitchen or bath is a unique and custom-tailored project. Each space has its own set of criteria, from the customer type, the amount of usable space, efficient design options, and personal tastes.
As a Premier Kitchen & Bath Design Showroom, our professional design staff carefully listens to every need, desire, and expectation of the client.
Once the inspirational expectation has been realized, the design phase starts, and we work tirelessly to ensure every detail is perfect before beginning production.
As a client with Kitchen & Bath Galleries, you are paired with a professional designer to ensure a focused and dedicated process driven by your individual needs.
Bathroom Design
To assist you in choosing plumbing options for your Bathroom remodel or design package, we have displays of bath and plumbing fixtures to spark your imagination and give you inspiration to build your own style around. We do not offer retail plumbing fixtures, but as a part of your design process, it is important to see what is available.
*Please note this list is not all-inclusive, nor are all brands listed displayed or sold at all locations-please call our showroom for details.
Step one of the design process
is to visit one of our showroom locations to browse our vignettes and get a feel for our products and services. An appointment isn’t required to browse, however, if you would like individual attention to chat about your project in detail, its important to set up an appointment with a designer.
Once you have set up an appointment
for an initial consultation with a designer, we will give you an idea of how our design services and product lines can work for you, your project, and your budget. An initial consultation is complimentary; however, design fees do apply for the in-home consultation to view and measure your space.
The design and selections process
varies based on each individual project, but typically includes design presentation, layout refinement, and material selections. Our goal is to help you coordinate all of these things into a cohesive, beautiful, and functional space.
Working with a contractor
We are glad to refer you to our network of professionals, as working with a familiar team is beneficial for all parties. Please know, however, that we are always willing to forge a new relationship with your contractor of choice.
Signing a contract
is the next step to move forward, once final decisions and revisions are complete. Based on your selections, we will provide you with estimated lead times as we order your materials.
Implementation
We will manage the products and services purchased from our showroom, and are always excited to see the vision become reality!
FAQ's about our design services:
How much will it cost?
Our showrooms strive to offer a variety of products and services to cover a variety of price ranges, while still maintaining high standards of quality. There are countless price points for all products involved, and also countless ways to incorporate both savings and splurges into our designs. We try to present you with and educate you about multiple options so you can determine what is right for you. Our goal is to merge your priorities with your pocketbook to give you a beautiful finished product that is also within budget. That said, the national averages for kitchen remodels range from $20,122 for a minor remodel to $119,909 for a major remodel. The average range for bath remodels is $17,908 to $57,411.
How long will it take?
The amount of time spent in the planning and design phase depends upon the scope and complexity of the project as well as your decision-making style. Typically, the time span between our initial consult appointment and signing a contract will average about 3-9 weeks. Once a contract is signed, we will place all material orders. The longest lead time is most often the cabinetry, which can take anywhere from 4-12+ weeks after the order is placed (based on the manufacturer and level of customization). Once materials are ready and labor commences, a typical kitchen or bath project spans about 4-12 weeks, but of course there are many variables involved and every project is unique.
How will I survive without use of my kitchen or bath?
The ranges listed above are totals- your space will be at least partially usable during some of that time. The greatest lull periods are waiting for countertops and for shower glass. Both of these items are custom-measured for your space, and fabrication takes about a week. For a kitchen remodel, you can set up a temporary kitchen, or use the time as an opportunity to check out the area’s extensive culinary options! The wait is trying, but the added beauty and function of your new space will make it all worth it in the end.
Can we do some of the work ourselves?
Of course! We will provide you with as much or as little as you want. Please note that we typically provide installation of cabinetry, countertops, and shower glass. Tile, plumbing, and lighting are typically provided as materials only, and do not include installation and are managed by either you or your contractor. Also excluded from our typical contract are: demolition, plumbing, mechanical, painting, sheetrock, non-cabinetry trim, and general job site management.
What kind of warranty do you provide?
Our standard workmanship warranty is for one year. Materials are guaranteed per the manufacturer's warranty. These details will be clearly noted to you upon purchase. Our showroom caters to your satisfaction, and we will serve as your advocate should any warranty claims arise.
Can I buy plumbing fixtures, lighting, tile, and furniture at your showroom?
We are a premier inspiration design showroom and are not in the retail plumbing or tile business. We do not sell individual fixtures at our showroom. As a part of a whole design project, your designer will work with local businesses and companies to help you choose & procure those items. If you are looking for individual plumbing or lighting fixtures, tile, furniture, or appliance parts we would be happy to provide you with the name of a local business that can help you find those items!
